The 2020s opened with the Lowcountry learning to keep its distance, down to an Outside catamaran billed as a socially distant party venue. From there Local Life turned to themed issues, from the kindness and cooking issues of 2021 to the sailing issue of 2025 and the shrimp issue of 2026. Along the way came local poetry such as Self Portrait as Sweetgrass, a tribute to Bluffton icon Ida Martin, and Lights, Camera, Lowcountry, a look back at the time Hollywood came to the coast.
